While stationed overseas in the Army, I began creating small collages out of paper. It was the perfect medium as the supplies took up very little space. After returning to the United States, I began to experiment with ceramic and glass mosaics. These experiences encouraged me to further explore art at Minnesota State University, where in 2007 I was awarded a Bachelors of Fine Arts.
My work is always evolving, but tends to be focused on gender and social observations. I use humor, narrative, and fantasy to express my ideas.
I live with my husband, our energetic dog, and two sweet cats in the Washington DC region. When not making art, I love to run, lift weights, watch terrible movies, and read.
